Welcome to my gallery and thanks for dropping by.
I remember the first camera I looked through as a child, and every camera that I've taken photographs with since that time. I used a 35mm film camera for the first time when I was an anthropology undergraduate. Later as a professor, I was among the first in my field of bioarchaeology to explore the uses of SLR digital photography.
Several years ago I retired from teaching because of my health and have focused on writing and photography since that time. I am learning more all the time, but my goal remains the same: I want to help people connect with the world around them, learn more about the environment, and inspire them to act as responsible stewards.
I look forward to hearing your comments. Please feel free to rate your favorites. If you are interested in any particular photographs, please contact me at docmks@aol.com. Thanks again for stopping by.
